My Core Bias

As I look at issues and situations, I force myself to look at what I stand for and what I stand against. I realize that as with all people, these core beliefs are the bias that exists in the lens through which I see the world. I am open to changing them and or adding to them as I see the world more and more clearly with your help.


None of the below can be sacrificed at the expense of another.

1) I stand for the circle turning purple, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


I stand against one side having a primary intention of taking more of the circle or eliminating the other color, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


2) I stand for seeing that Red and Blue have about an equal part of the circle even when the media or the loudness of one side might give a different impression.


I stand against any one side thinking their side is the only truth and not being open to hearing the other side, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


3) I stand for the sovereignty of the individual as long as their beliefs do no physical harm to anyone else and/or infringe on their civil rights regardless of race, sex or religion.


I stand against the imposing of one’s beliefs (subject to the above) on another by legislation, social media inundation, or any form of threat or bullying regardless of race, sex, or religion.


4) I stand for seeing most social issues as a dynamic versus a word or verb or seen only in a vacuum, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


I stand against anything that positions the issue in a vacuum, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


5) I stand for fixing the problem, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


I stand against efforts to affix blame, or prove righteousness, or promote the social position of someone or organization at the expense of fixing the problem, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation


6) I stand for listening with compassion and always asking what is my role in a dynamic that is not working, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


I stand against a monologue of complaints, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


7) I sand for taking responsibility for having my message heard, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


I stand against calling those who I most want to hear my message tone deaf because they do not hear it because of the way I present it, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


8) I stand for getting those opposed to my message to be open to considering my opinion and beliefs, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


I stand opposed to speeches and activates that rally only those who already agree with me at the expense of getting those opposed to dig their feet in deeper, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


9) I stand for EQUAL rights and opportunities for all regardless of race, sex, or religion.


I stand against any race, sex, religion or person being oppressed or receiving special treatment.


10) I stand for every person, group, or occupation being subject to the same standards of actions, opinions and expression of opinion.


I stand against double standards were one race religion, or sex can say or do anything the other cannot simply because of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


11) I stand for respecting what any person achieves, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


I stand against the achievements of any person being diminished because of their race, religion, sex, or occupation


12) I stand for the free flow of accurate information and truthful opinion regardless of how it effects any narrative regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


I stand against the restricted flow of information because it does not support the current public narrative regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


13) I stand for the free flow of dialog versus monologues, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.

I stand against monologues that are designed to prevent dialog, and whose partial truths are used to manipulate the untruths it also contains or that follow, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


14) I stand for equal opportunity to achieve one’s goals and desires, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


I stand against building oneself up by putting someone else down, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


15) I stand for uncovering all the factors in a social issue, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


I stand against the use of slick marketing catch phrases that in and of themselves are not disputable and appeal to emotions and are designed to simplify complex problems in order to affix blame or prove righteousness, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


16) I stand for consistent application of rights against authority, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


I stand against the selective application of rights to support a narrative, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


17) I stand for protecting the health of all individuals, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation .


I stand against anyone endangering the health of anyone else, including spitting at anyone else (especially during COVID), regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


18) I stand for taking personal responsibility for social issues, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


I stand against using legislation or social media bullying to apply the tyranny of democracy to seem to fix social issues, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


19) I stand for solving a social issue, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


I stand against a social issue being thought of as solved because those opposed have been silenced, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.

20) I stand for improving a social issue by addressing all the complex factors that create it, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


I stand against throwing money at it, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.

21) I stand for doing the right thing for the greater good, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


I stand against the end justifying the means, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.

22) I stand for the greater good, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation.


I stand against the politicization of issues to win votes, regardless of race, religion, sex, or occupation
